Ken Samudio

Born in the Philippines, Ken Samudio has been surrounded by the beauty and expanse of nature, his greatest influence. His namesake brand Ken Samudio features the otherworldly and mysterious side of the sea. A biologist by profession, he captures the nuances of an eerie underwater world with statement accessories that are bold both in shape and colour.

He has also launched Matthew and Melka, a fun and fresh accessories range showing the vibrant colours and textures of flaura and fauna. Pieces created reflect the blissful spontaneity felt while basking in nature.

A self-taught designer, Ken has successfully gained many firsts for a Filipino designer. He was chosen by Vogue Italia as one of their Vogue Talents for Accessories in 2014. Handpicked by BFC and Sarah Mower, he showed back to back at IFS London Fashion Week in 2014 and 2015. At Pitti Imagine, he has been selected as Super Talents for 2014 and 2016. In Asia, he presented his accessories via runway at Mercedez Benz Fashion Week Tokyo.

His unique techniques and point of view have been recognised by the global fashion community through his features in WWD, Vogue Italia, L’Officiel, Business of Fashion and collaboration with brands such as Swarovski and Luisa Via Roma.
